Our Personal Commitment with the Environment
According to ICLEI- Local Governments for Sustainability, a "sustainable event is one that is designed, organized and assembled in accordance with the principles of sustainability, focusing especially on environmental, health and social issues, with the aim of reducing the consumption of natural resources , reduce consumption to a minimum and protect biodiversity and the health of human beings. " According to the Brundtland Report (Our Common Future, 1987) the term sustainable development is defined as "that development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations". Under this premise, in DI & P we carry out all projects applying ecodesign criteria, ecological design, through a series of actions.
01
RECYCLED MATERIALS
We use recycled materials when we design (wood with FSC certificates, bioplastics, ...).
02
DESIGN OF STRUCTURES
We design thinking about structures and reusable furniture, minimizing the weight and thinking about the space that they require for their transport and storage, that is how we optimize the period of time of assembly and disassembly.
03
TOXIC MATERIALS
We don’t use any toxic or dangerous materials (varnishes, solvents, cleaning products, ...)
04
CRITERIA
We take consideration for the environment when we organize a congress.
05
DURABILITY
The priority objective of ecodesign is to promote the durability and reuse of the materials that are used while building stands. When it is not possible to recycle, we try to minimize the amount of waste or look for compensatory measures.
06
LOCATION
When we organize a congress we choose places next to bike paths.
07
FORESTING TREES
The benefit of the recycling materials is to increase the trees afforestation in the mountains of Madrid.
